Common Question: What is a Bath Tea?

We all know that teas can have incredible health benefits for the body and depending on what you are brewing, those health benefits can be critical to how you are feeling. However, what happens when (like the large majority of Americans) you are having digestive issues, having trouble digesting foods or just have an upset stomach? Most of us have gut disturbances that we don't even realize as it has gone on for so long (some as long as since birth) that we are just used to it. This doesn't mean you are getting everything you should out of your food or drink though.

As gone over in my post, The Biggest Organ, your skin's pores are a direct line to your blood stream. This is why it is so important to keep what you are using on your skin as beneficial as possible with as few chemicals as possible. So, what happens when you brew a LARGE pot of tea, steep it for 15 minutes, then pour that into your bath water, soaking in it for 20+ minutes? All those elements that you want to get from drinking a cup of tea can now bypass any gut issues and be directly absorbed into your body, giving you faster, more potent and longer lasting effects.

OUR TEAS

Our teas are composed of organic flowers and herbs, grown on ethically managed farms right here in the US. We have three blends:

1. Relaxation Blend: This is a blend of organic lavender, chamomile and jasmine. This is perfect for just unwinding after a stressful or busy day and is great for the littles to help them unwind and calm down before bed. With the properties of lavender (analgesic, calming, antibacterial), chamomile (anti-inflammatory, soothing, calming) and jasmine (relaxing, calming for the nervous system), these teas have gotten us through difficult bouts of teething, all those random childhood viruses leaving our kiddos miserable and unable to sleep, have helped with headaches and all sorts of other minor issues.

2. Floral Blend: This is a blend of organic rosebuds, organic hibiscus, organic chamomile, organic rose hips, and organic jasmine. This is high in antioxidants and is great for the skin. This can be used to help you relax after a hectic day, to rejuvenate the skin and give you a little boost of energy.

3. Herbal Blend: This is a blend of organic sage, organic lemongrass, organic chamomile, organic comfrey, organic calendula, organic thyme, and organic arnica. This blend may not be suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding and anyone who is should consult their maternity provider prior to use. This blend is perfect for anyone with a rash, with bruising, healing from surgery (once cleared for baths), anyone who is sore from rigorous activity, etc. It is great for activating the renewal of cells to replace damaged ones as well as getting the lymphatic system activated to help clear out the damaged cells.

I hope you have found this useful and I hope it answers the question, what is a bath tea? Let me know in the comments if you have more questions about our teas!
